The recruitment aims to enhance the provision of Universal Health Care. This groundbreaking initiative serves as a cornerstone of the governor’s mandate to ensure accessible, high-quality healthcare. Additionally, it serves as a strategic response to the pressing need for a more robust primary health care (PHC) system. Moreover, by prioritizing this recruitment effort, the administration is taking a proactive step to address longstanding healthcare challenges. Recruitment Announcement

The Ministry of Health enthusiastically announces the approval to recruit 450 personnel in both clinical and non-clinical roles. This strategic move is designed to ensure the 24/7 availability of quality healthcare services across the Primary Health Care facilities in Enugu State’s 17 local government areas.

This recruitment drive supports the ongoing construction of 260 Type 2 Primary Health Centers across the state, aimed at providing both qualitative and quantitative healthcare services efficiently.

• Medical Officers (Grade Level 13)
• Pharmacists (Grade Level 8)
• Medical Laboratory Scientists (Grade Level 8)
• Staff Nurse/Midwives (Grade Level 7)
• Pharmacy Technicians (Grade Level 7)
• Medical Laboratory Technicians (Grade Level 7)
• Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs, Grade Level 7)
• Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs, Grade Level 4)
• Medical Record Officers (Grade Level 7)
• Cleaners (Grade Level 2)
• Security (Grade Level 2)

Criteria for Applicants

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the positions:

1. Relevant Certification: Possession of necessary qualifications in the respective fields.
2. Annual Practising License: A current practising license is mandatory.
3. Willingness to Serve: Preparedness to work in any designated PHC location within Enugu State.
4. Local Residency: Residency within the area of intended service is required.
